This is an opportunity for an Occupational Therapist Assistant to join the team at Three Valleys Hospital, a part of Elysium Healthcare. The role involves supporting Occupational Therapists, Nurses, and other multidisciplinary staff in delivering structured activities and therapeutic interventions to service users with complex mental health issues in a safe and supportive environment.

Main duties of the job

As an Occupational Therapist Assistant, you will be responsible for assisting Occupational Therapists, Nurses, and other MDT staff in the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of individual care plans. You will support service users to achieve their goals and access appropriate services, as well as maintain adequate records and enter details in the service user healthcare records.

Under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist, you will support the service in delivering structured activities and assisting in the planning for individual and group therapeutic interventions. You will build one-to-one rapports with service users to encourage participation in activities and empower recovery. 

As an Occupational Therapist Assistant, you will contribute to the assessment, monitoring, evaluation, and modification of structured activities in order to measure progression and ensure effectiveness. 

Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, you will be supported regionally and will have access to a variety of training and online courses to support your career development and growth. 

As an Occupational Therapist Assistant you will be:

•Assisting Occupational Therapists, Nurses and other MDT staff in the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of individual care plans. •Supporting service users to achieve their goals and access appropriate services. •Maintaining adequate records, entering details in the service user healthcare records.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

•A full UK driving licence •GCSE/O-Levels (A-C) or a relevant NVQ2.  •Experience in a similar environment & Mental Health •Verbal and written communication skills
