Main duties of the job

As a Senior Clinical Psychologist, you will be responsible for delivering strategic and clinical strategies to grow and further develop the neurological care pathway through specialist psychological advice and consultations. You will have experience in carrying a designated caseload, including assessing service users with complex needs, and designing and delivering specialist psychological treatment within neurological care services. The role also involves identifying and developing new services for other neurological conditions, and ensuring that all non-medical therapeutic approaches are underpinned by a conceptual model and have an empirical evidence base.

As a Senior Clinical Psychologist you will be:

  • Deliver strategic and clinical strategies to grow and further develop the neurological care pathway.
  • Identify and develop new services for other neurological conditions.

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • BPS accredited and HCPC approved Doctorate.
  • HCPC Registered.
  • Chartered Member of the BPS
  • Evidence of engagement in ABI networks.
  • Post-doctoral level knowledge and application of research methodology, research design and complex, multivariate data analysis.

You will be working at the Farndon Unit, low secure, acute and rehab services within the hospital which offers personalised assessment and recovery-based treatment pathways for women with complex care needs.

The Farndon Unit provides low secure care for women with a diagnosis of severe and enduring mental illness and/or personality disorder and/or mild learning disability. You will be working alongside a multidisciplinary team offering personalised assessment and recovery-based treatment pathways, including a trauma specific pathway, for women with complex care needs.
