Job summary

This is a Bank Wellbeing Therapist role at Elysium Healthcare, a leading healthcare provider with over 90 sites across the UK. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing a range of complementary therapies to staff at Elysium's sites, with the aim of improving their physical, emotional, and mental wellbeing. The role is flexible, with the successful candidate able to choose the days they work to suit their schedule, while maintaining a minimum number of days per month.

Main duties of the job

As a Bank Wellbeing Therapist, you will be responsible for providing a range of complementary therapies to Elysium Healthcare staff, including massage, energy therapy, aromatherapy, reflexology, and facials. You will be required to maintain and signpost evaluations and trackers to existing support services, and attend regular meetings with the wellbeing team. The role is national, with the successful candidate required to use their own mobile equipment and car to travel to various sites, which may include occasional overnight stays.

Job responsibilities

Are you a trained and registered wellbeing therapist who loves helping people with their physical and mental wellbeing? If so, join Elysium Healthcare’s Wellbeing team as a Bank Wellbeing Therapist and help support staff wellbeing at Elysium’s 90+ sites across the UK.

You will be a practitioner of a wide variety of complementary therapies who has completed an approved training scheme, are registered with a regulatory body, have current liability and indemnity insurance, and have at least one year's post-qualification experience.

Being a Wellbeing Therapist on our Bank means that you will be called upon to fulfil work on demand, which you can choose to accept to suit your schedule. There is an expectation that you will work a minimum number of days each month, which will be flexible and agreed ad-hoc ongoing.

What you will be doing

You will carry out specific therapies to staff in the workplace to benefit staff wellbeing, including providing therapies that are designed to help reduce stress and tension and help improve physical, emotional and mental wellbeing of employees.

You will be responsible for maintaining and signposting evaluations and trackers to existing recognised and offered support services and will attend regular meetings with the wellbeing team.

Therapies to be provided may include:

  • Massage (Swedish/Holistic/Indian Head /Remedial)
  • Energy Therapy (Reiki, Hands On, Crystal)
  • Aromatherapy, Reflexology and Facial.

Your own mobile equipment will be required to create a therapeutic experience, and your own car will be required in order to transport you and your kit around to sites. The location of sites are national and occasional overnight stays may be required. 

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Registration with the CNHC (Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council)
  • Completed an approved training scheme
  • Current liability and indemnity insurance
  • At least 1 years’ post- qualification experience
  • Experience with a wide variety of complementary therapies
