Main duties of the job
Provide high quality care
Support your colleagues by promoting teamwork
Improving or maintaining a person's physical and mental health
Reducing barriers to them living an independent life
Supporting the person in living a fulfilling life
Provide treatment to patients and ensure medications are correctly administered
Assess patients
Work to understand the source of patients' disorders
Prepare patients' records and maintain them effectively
Conduct risk assessments on patients
Monitor patients progress
Ensure all legal requirements are complied with.

What you will be doing
As an experienced UK nurse from the NHS or private sector, you'll join the team as a Registered Learning Disability Nurse to help improve the lives of local adult men and women with a range of complex conditions.
You'll be working with a range of complex conditions including personality disorder, eating disorders, depression, self-harm, physical health problems and psychological distress such as trauma.
Progresses people through the rehabilitation care pathway to live more independent lives in the community and provide a stabilising environment to prevent further escalation of behaviours which will lead to improved quality of life and independence.
No two days are the same, with plenty to keep you engaged and motivated, but also a good amount of routine. The shift pattern is 40.25 hours per week on a two-week rota basis of 3 shifts one week and 4 shifts the next week. The rota includes days, nights and weekend working.
