Job summary

An experienced and motivated Clinical Psychologist is required to join an exciting new Eating Disorder Service in Midhurst, West Sussex. The service will have 12 beds for young adults between the ages of 18-25 years. The hospital is ideally located to provide safe and therapeutic care whilst at the same time remaining in the heart of the community.

Main duties of the job

To be Successful as a Clinical Psychologist you will need: Good Honours Degree in Psychology Recognised Postgraduate Doctorate in Clinical/Counselling Psychology or equivalent 3 Years Full time post graduate experience Experience of working with a wide variety of client groups across the whole life course and with presenting problems that reflects the full range of clinical severity. HCPC Registered and Current Practicing Certificate Up to date knowledge on Eating Disorders Working knowledge of legislation and its implications for both clinical practice and professional management in relation to the patient group and mental health. Working knowledge of all the traditional models of psychotherapy & the evidence for their use & detailed knowledge of 2 or more of them. Experience of delivering family based treatment Desirable knowledge of the principles and practice of CPA

It is anticipated that the service will open early in 2024 however we are appointing to key roles now to enable successful candidates to participate in shaping and setting up the service.
