Job summary
Ambulance Care Assistants (ACA) deal with routine non-emergency and non-routine emergency/urgent care transport of patients to/from hospital in Urgent Care settings.
An ACA works as part of a team, on a double crewed ambulance, to provide outstanding care by working with our values and vision.
Main duties of the job
You start each day at the ambulance station or unit. You stay in touch with the control room, so the control room staff know where you are and can give you instructions.
Achieve and maintain competence in all relevant skills and knowledge by attending CPD events and keeping a personal development and reflective portfolio through the CPD system.
Carry out vehicle and equipment checks at the start, during and end of each shift, to ensure that the vehicle is ready to respond as required.

To perform any other duties as required with these responsibilities, the grade of the post, skill set, and qualifications of the post-holder as deemed appropriate by OSR Medical Ltd management.
Undertake emergency driving duties on all types of vehicles operated by the company, if appropriately qualified and licensed.
Provide pre-hospital life support to those patients who are critically ill and always acting within the roles scope of practice.
To exercise and be responsible for the complete duty of care to the patient and relatives until such time as a safe transfer of duty of care.
To identify, assess and report all incidents where Vulnerable Adults and children are concerned.
