Main duties of the job

We are looking for an enthusiastic and interested individual to work as part of the Occupational Therapy (OT) team at the school. This post will combine clinical and administrative support roles: you will work directly with individual students or groups to deliver therapy programmes, under the direction of the Consultant OT, in classroom and residential settings, support the OT in assessment of students functional skills, report on student progress, provide support with resources for individuals and contribute to the development of the Sensory Environment. You will receive regular supervision and, as part of the Cambian OT service, be eligible for training.

It is essential that the successful candidate has an interest in developing students functional skills, and meeting sensory needs and have worked with children previously, preferably with children with special needs. Basic IT skills and the ability to work flexibly and collaboratively as part of a busy team are essential for all aspects of this post.

A successful candidate will have to meet the person specification in order to be offered this post. Experience working with ASD/Experience in a school.
