Job summary

Main duties of the job

This role provides oversight and clinical governance to the CSE services in the South West region. The South West region has a full-time Mental Practitioner in post, to undertake day to day clinical tasks. However, you will provide support, clinical supervision and guidance remotely, with occasional in-person visits. The South West region (which is the primary base for this role) has a full-time Mental Health Practitioner, who will work alongside you to form the core clinical team. As the clinical lead, you will be responsible for the implementation of the service delivery by co-ordinating assessments and interventions, providing guidance and feedback on assessments and clinical recommendations, supporting with multi-agency risk assessments in relation to CSE, offering consultation, advice and guidance to operational and educational colleagues. You will have a small case-load of direct work e.g. 1-2 young people and will offer training packages and bespoke workshops for teams as and when required. The person in this role works closely with the regional manager and regional lead for education to ensure collaborative and aligned working.

We provide care, therapy and education for a discrete cohort of needs within these homes; this includes provisions for children who have experienced complex trauma (neglect and abuse), those who have been sexually exploited, and those with a learning disability. These homes are all supported by specialists schools to support their individual educational needs. We also run a therapeutic fostering service through which we are able to support children with a variety of complex needs within a family environment

Ideally you will demonstrate initiative and have experience in leading on various projects.
