Job responsibilities

We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated, forward thinking Clinical, Counselling or Forensic Psychologist or CBT Therapist to join our friendly team.

The clinical team work within the wider integrated team of professionals at Branas Isaf, applying psychological knowledge and expertise to service users and professionals within the group (e.g. education and care staff). Primarily, the clinical team support children and young males aged 10-18 who present with a number of complex interpersonal, emotional and behavioural issues a number of the young people within our care have experienced significant trauma.

Job role

Your role will to provide high-quality specialist psychological therapy service to individuals, carers, families and groups, within and across teams, in line with best, evidence-based practice. Supporting psychologically informed consultation to teams, training and assisting with service development. Conducting psychometric and risk assessment and developing formulations. Providing and evaluating individual and group-based interventions (including Dialectical Behavioural Therapy).Providing specialist psychological research expertise to the service.

You will also learn from some of the most dedicated and inspirational people in our profession and just like our young people you will be learning all the time through our on-going mentoring and support.

Dependant on your experience you may be required to supervise other Practitioners, Clinical Psychology Trainees, Healthcare Students, and Assistants.

You will need to be a clear communicator, well organised, confident and capable of managing a complex caseload in a demanding environment. Experience of supervising others and providing training to multi-disciplinary staff is required and hold either HCPC or BACP- Accred or MBACP-Accred registration
