Job summary

Role: Sessional Occupational Therapist Salary: depending on experience Hours: 1 day per week, term time only

Location:Cambian New Elizabethan School, Quarry Bank, Hartlebury, Worcestershire, DY11 7TE

Main duties of the job

Your role will be to provide specialised SEN Occupational Therapy for a defined caseload of children with OT specified in their EHCP (7-19 years) and to take the lead in developing the quality of EHCPs & SEN OT provision within the setting.

Working autonomously, you will provide quality assessments, reports and needs led interventions for young people and work with the school staff to embed sensory strategies across our schools and colleges.

Taking a hands on approach it is essential that you will be a strong team player, with excellent communication skills. You must have excellent organisational and time management skills.

Requirements

A degree or a post graduate diploma in Occupational Therapy

Registration with the Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC) and RCOT

Experience in working with ASD and/or learning disabilities (preferred)

A specialist with proven skills and experience to engage and deliver therapeutic interventions with children and young people with complex needs (preferred)

A highly organised professional ready to take the initiative.
