Job summary

CHEC are the largest provider of community ophthalmology services in the UK, delivering thousands of outpatient and surgical appointments per year. Established in 2012 as a provider of NHS eyecare outside the hospital setting, we continue to grow across the UK. Due to our services being more in demand than ever before we would like you to join us operating across the UK in our CHEC Hospitals and Community Centres.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will be required to perform a range of ophthalmology appointments on patients referred to CHEC and provide supervision of the provision of adult community ophthalmology services delivered by healthcare professionals, working in accordance with CHEC treatment protocols and working practices. Day to day, the post holder will deliver high quality clinical care to patients attending the community ophthalmology service in the following areas: General Ophthalmology Glaucoma services AMD Laser treatment Minor eye Operations High volume phacoemulsification under topical anaesthesia if applicable
