Main duties of the job

We are looking for someone with extensive experience in managing and overseeing IT operations, particularly within the healthcare sector. If you have a robust background in IT infrastructure, strategic project leadership, compliance and security oversight, team leadership, and vendor management, we want to hear from you. The Head of IT Operations will excel in ensuring the secure, effective, and resilient operation of all critical IT systems and networks.

Oversee the secure, effective, and robust operation of all IT infrastructure, including networks, systems, and related technologies. Ensure the continuous availability and resilience of IT services, crucial for the company healthcare delivery systems. Manage and optimise infrastructure in alignment with Microsoft technologies and other key vendor solutions. Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of strategic IT projects, aligning them with organisational goals and healthcare standards. Coordinate with NHS partners and technology vendors to implement new systems and improvements seamlessly. Champion innovative IT solutions that enhance service delivery and patient care outcomes. Develop and maintain IT policies and procedures that comply with legal, regulatory, and data security standards. Manage comprehensive security protocols to protect sensitive data and systems from cyber threats. Ensure adherence to health data protection laws and manage IT risks effectively. Build and maintain strong relationships with external vendors and internal stakeholders. Negotiate and manage contracts to ensure favourable terms and adherence to CHECs operational standards. Act as the IT ambassador, ensuring alignment and compliance with technological and business objectives.
