Main duties of the job

The Regional Operations Manager will provide effective leadership to Hospital Managers in the region. We are looking for someone to ensure all hospitals and units continue to provide safe and effective delivery of all our services.
At CHEC we focus on providing the highest quality patient centric care, participating in the entire pathway for patients from pre-admission, surgery, and post-operative management.

Job responsibilities
Be an Ambassador for Quality and Clinical Governance
Lead the hospital teams in CQC readiness, improvement plans, and provide advice when required and maintain adherence to CQC standards and regulations
Lead improvement programmes and assurance plans
Positively encourage development and motivation within the teams
Ensure that hospital activity meets set targets and that patients are treated within local SLAs
Oversee and act as a point of escalation for the hospital sites to ensure the physical environment is fit for purpose
Continually seek to improve the systems and hospital processes to drive efficiency across the business and liaise with Head Office to create a business case for change.
Support the Hospital Managers in achieving their financial budgets through guiding and creating action plans to address any underperformance
Form supportive links with the Head Office teams
Support the Hospital Manager with workforce planning current and future needs for permanent and temporary staff requirements
Ensure that all Hospital teams have robust objectives and Personal Development Plans to drive a high-performance culture
Support the Hospital Manager in liaising with the Clinical Education team to ensure all clinical and non-clinical colleagues are appropriately trained and managed including mandatory training & clinical training

Essential
- A manager with previous experience managing a number of hospitals
- Previous experience managing CQC registered managers
- Someone with experience in ophthalmology and/or endoscopy would be advantageous, but not essential
- An experienced leader and confident with CQC
- Excellent communication skills at all levels
