Main duties of the job

An exciting opportunity has come up for a Management Accountant to join our Finance team as we embark onto our next stage of continued growth. The role holder is to be responsible for preparing monthly management accounts for the business. This may entail owning a region of the business in order to build good knowledge and business partner with the regional and ops teams. The role will assist in all accounting needs of the business and will ensure that all accounting is undertaken to the highest of quality, interrogation and in a timely manner. The role is responsible for preparing monthly accounts and includes liaising with other parts of the finance team and business to inform the monthly process. We are looking for a forward-thinking, highly organised individual to join our Finance team at our Head Office in Fulwood.

Job responsibilities

Prepare timely and accurate monthly management accounts. Provide commentary and reports to senior management on financial performance. Monitor and report on capital expenditure activity. Working with hospital managers to identify areas of improvement Ensuring all transactions are captured , reported in a timely manner and accurately. Fixed asset register reconciliations Liaise with auditors and assists on annual financial audits. Support the wider finance team in capturing spend through purchase ledger, Analysis, report and control of consumable stocks. Prepare regular balance sheet reconciliations. Support the Finance team and business with ad hoc projects as required. What youll bring to the role: CIMA or ACCA qualified and previous experience in a management accountant role Good communication and strong interpersonal skills High level of accuracy Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail Highly proficient on Microsoft office and other systems The ability to learn and adapt to new internal systems Self-motivated starter with the ability to prioritise and schedule work independently.
