Community Health and Eyecare (CHEC) are the largest provider of community ophthalmology services in the UK, delivering thousands of outpatient appointments per year.
Established in 2012 as a provider of NHS eyecare outside the hospital setting, we continue to grow across the UK.

Due to our services being more in demand than ever before we would like you to join us at our Darlington, Durham and Gateshead surgical centres.
Main duties of the job
CHEC are recruiting doctors and nurses across the UK and are pleased to NOW be able to offer Tier 2 visa sponsorship for eligible candidates. If successfully appointed, you will be required to provide an overseas criminal record certificate for yourself and any adult dependents from each country that they/you have lived in consecutively for 12 months or more in the past 10 years. Day to day you will deliver high quality clinical care to patients attending the community ophthalmology service (new patients, follow ups, glaucoma reviews), as well as perform minor eye surgery, YAG capsulotomies and cataract surgery.
To continue with our support for the NHS, we are looking for experienced cataract surgeons and general ophthalmologists of all grades to undertake consultation clinics and cataract surgery across the range of services we offer.
