Job Overview

An offer of a permanent salaried GP role or employed within any of the listed GP Practices in Central London for 4 - 7 sessions per week. (Please link below - listing of all 34 practices within Central London.

2 Sessions /week in hosting 1, or 2 or 3 roles paid by the PCN

Funded education related to specialism

1 session a month peer mentoring support with an experienced and dedicated GP mentor, hosted through Health Education England (HEE).

Employment

The programme is primarily aimed at recruiting newly qualified GPs (those about to complete their training or who have qualified in the last 12 months)

Early-career GPs must be working in general practice for between 4-7 sessions per week

GPs must be employed on a permanent contract

The portfolio session will be set at a rate of £9,500 per annum.

Main duties of the job

Objectives of the posts

Post holders will take up a permanent salaried position at a GP practice and are supported to become a fully embedded member of the team, whilst also benefitting from a portfolio role of their choice.

Appointees will develop:

  • The full range of skills of an established primary care clinician
  • GP with special interest level skills in their specialist area
  • A local network of colleagues through the peer support group.
  • Leadership skills through contributing to systems change in the locality.

Central London Healthcare CIC is a GP federation formed in 2006 of 34 General Practices in Westminster, which cares for more than 230,000 people. It is owned and run by local primary care clinicians as a not-for-profit company to improve health and well-being in Westminster

We provide a range of community and primary care services to our local residents in addition to a wide range of staffing, management and back office services to Practices.

We work closely with our Primary Care Networks (PCNs), local NHS commissioners and NHS providers in order to develop and implement an integrated care partnership and system that coordinates health and social care provision in the Borough. Central London Healthcare will be the first CCG area in England to have 2 patient facing tools integrated into the NHS App, giving our patients and their carers access to relevant information to support their needs and manage their care!

Were looking for an enthusiastic newly qualified GP with an interest in online consultations and the development of at scale general practice to provide clinical oversight of the eHub and lead on the development of integrating the new DES roles, e.g., clinical pharmacy and first contact physio, into the eHub.

Soho Community Escalation Centre Fellowship

Based in Soho, the CEC aims to provide an out-of-hospital, primary care response to the management of patients with potential or confirmed Covid-19 who are unwell but do not need hospitalisation. The service treats these patients for Covid-19 related symptoms as well as any other conditions that those patients may have whilst the patients are still infectious

The service runs in conjunction with other primary care services including local general practices, community and mental health services. It maximises existing IT links between health providers in order to provide health support to patients referred from NHS 111, from general practice and discharged from hospital across NWL.

The CEC delivers services through a combination of phone consultation and face-to-face response (including home visiting where appropriate) and will offer triage.
