We have exciting opportunities enthusiastic, highly motivated and experienced Registered Nurse's or Paramedic's, who possesses an MSc in Advanced Clinical Practice/Clinical Masters. The Advanced Clinical Practitioner role works beyond normal professional boundaries as a Registered Nurse/Paramedic and will be working at an advanced level undertaking tasks that have been previously undertaken by medical and/or technical staff.

Main duties of the job

The post holder is identified as a clinical expert and is required to have a high clinical profile ensuring the provision of effective and efficient care. The post-holder would have completed their Non-Medical Prescribing (NMP) training.

Each of our UTCs are co-located within Emergency Departments across the West Midlands. The Centres are GP led with support from Clinical Leads (General Practitioners and Nurses) and you would work alongside other ACPs, ANPs, GPs and other health professionals.

Job responsibilities

The post holder will:

provide advanced clinical skills for patients attending the centres.

have at least 1 years Advanced Clinical Practice experience

be responsible for contributing to the ongoing development of clinical practice, research and standards of care within the service, including development of policies and guidelines and contribute to service development to ensure patients have a seamless pathway.

be expected to practice autonomously, formulate clinical decisions and treatment pans within local guidelines/policy to manage both acute and chronic illness. T

We would welcome applications from practitioners with experience in acute medicine as well as the long-term health needs of our aging population.

The post holder will require excellent communication skills which should include communicating clearly, sensitively and effectively with patients, families and professionals. Be able to signpost patients to the most appropriate services and be enthusiastic to apply acquired knowledge and skills.
