Job summary
Were looking for an experienced Oncology Nurse to join our cancer nursing team at Private Care at Guys, one of our state-of-the art cancer centres and, currently rated Outstanding by the CQC. Featuring theatres, chemotherapy and radiotherapy, oncology and surgical wards, we deliver a level of care rarely found in the private sector. A centre of excellence, were also constantly at the forefront of clinical innovation, whether that is through our investment in pioneering robotic surgery, our JACIE accredited stem cell transplantation unit for blood cancers and Multiple Sclerosisor other treatments, such as revolutionary bispecific antibody therapy, which we are currently the only private hospital able to offer this treatment.
Main duties of the job
The Oncology Nurse position offers a unique opportunity to work in a highly esteemed and innovative cancer care environment. As part of the position, you will gain access to the Systemic Anti-Cancer Treatments (SACT) programme, which will enable you to administer chemotherapy and provide additional professional development.
This position allows you to be a part of a specialist oncology nursing team in a cutting-edge facility that is currently rated "Outstanding" by the CQC. Youll be involved in providing care across a variety of settings, including chemotherapy and radiotherapy and other oncology treatments. The role requires you to work collaboratively with patients, ensuring their medical, physical, and emotional needs are met while providing high-quality care. It is an ideal position for an experienced oncology nurse looking to further their career in an innovative and supportive environment or a Band 5 Oncology Nurse looking to take the next step in the career. Completing the SACT course could also lead to a Band 6 Oncology Nurse role.
