Job summary

Role: Senior Psychologist (Inpatients and Outpatients)

London: HCA at UCH

Hours: Full time 37.5 hours Monday to Friday 9-5pm (Part-time would be considered)

Contract Type: Permanent

Salary: Competitive depending on experience with excellent benefits

Were looking for a Senior Psychologist to join our team at HCA at UCH, currently rated Outstanding by the CQC.

This role is to work within the HCA Psychology service supporting patients across HCA London Cancer Services. Primarily based at HCA at UCH and The Harley Street Clinic

Main duties of the job

The Role:

  • To ensure patients are supported from diagnosis through to end of treatment.

  • To support patients and their loved ones receiving palliative care

  • To provide bereavement support through signposting to appropriate services

  • To offer advice to non-psychological colleagues and members of the MDT who are caring for patients

  • To provide support to teams such as de-briefs as requested

  • To assess the psychological needs of patients and apply the appropriate psychological treatment which may include referral to psychiatry
