Were looking for an Advanced Speech and Language Therapist to join our Neuro Rehabilitation Speech and Language Therapy team at The Wellington Hospital, currently rated Good by the CQC and home to the largest private hospital-based rehabilitation centre in the UK.

And, our Speech and Language Therapy team are a key part of the holistic care we offer, playing a vital role across our neurological rehabilitation wards.

Main duties of the job

As an Advanced Speech and Language Therapist you will have a proven track record of working in Neuro Rehabilitation environments. We work with diverse neurological presentations including stroke, traumatic brain injury, hypoxic brain injury, encephalitis, progressive neurological conditions and seizure related disorders. MDT and interdisciplinary working form a key part of our work.

In return for your expertise, youll have the chance to work alongside some of the top Neuro consultants, get access to training and professional development and work with high level, state-of-the-art, assistive technology to supplement your Speech and Language Therapy interventions.

Essential

  • What youll bring:
  • Professional qualification in Speech and Language Therapy
  • Registered member of HCPC
  • Significant experience of working within a neuro rehab hospital setting.
  • Evidence of successful completion of tracheostomy competency framework.
  • Evidence of successful completion of Level 3 videofluoroscopy competencies/ MBSIMP.
  • Competencies in FEES is desirable but not essential as training will be provided.
