Job summary

YHN aspires to provide responsive, well led, safe, effective, and caring services. The successful candidate will provide clinical leadership working for YHN delivered services with our management team, and will be vital to ensuring that the day-to-day delivery of our clinical services run smoothly to achieve these aims. You will work with our employed delivery team as well as maintaining the relationships with our staff, patients, and member practices. Utilising significant clinical knowledge and experience, the Clinical Services Lead will translate legislative and operating developments into service delivery designed to meet patient needs and service specification requirements. The post holder will be responsible for monitoring and maintaining the performance of YHN services against contractual and internal Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), budgetary targets and quality standards. The post holder would be expected to support prescribing within the clinical services and ensure that CQC registration standards are adhered to. Our current services are Extended access (prebooked appointments in general practice) travel vaccination and also a proactive care team.

The hours will be up to 0.5 WTE to be worked flexibly over 7 days a week, with an expectation of unsocial hours and weekend working. This role could be accommodated as a job share.

The role can be fulfilled by a professional registered individual NMC, GMC or GPC.

Main duties of the job

You will work with the General Manager, Executive chair and wider YHN management team to further develop and improve the performance of our delivered services, looking for new and fresh ways of working and to identify and develop new clinical services towards meeting organisational income generation targets. Responsible for clinical governance across YHN in order to ensure the safe, effective and compliant delivery of services to all patients. The Clinical Services Lead is expected to harness a working environment which encourages team work, energy and creativity. To achieve this, they will require strong communication and leadership as well as excellent problem-solving skills. This is a key role, designed to provide expert clinical leadership that positively impacts on the care of our patients, supporting the achievement of our vision and values and assuring the future sustainability of our business.

Yorkshire Health Network is a federation of all 17 GP practices within the Harrogate and Rural area of the Humber and North Yorkshire ICB (integrated Care Board) We are governed by a board of directors with representatives from our local practices, Primary care network clinical directors and independent non-executive directors. YHN is managed day to day by a small management team led by our General Manager.
