Job summary
This is an exciting opportunity to join our apprenticeship programme and train to become a Biomedical Scientist.
Upon graduation we strive to have opportunities within the business for you to move into a permanent qualified biomedical scientist position.
The starting salary will be £24,600 with all university tuition fees paid for by the organisation.
*NOTE According to the apprenticeship funding rules, if you do not have a British passport your visa must be valid for the duration of the 4 years. If your visa expires before the apprenticeship ends you would not be eligible for the apprenticeship.*
*NOTE This apprenticeship is not suitable for those that already hold a degree in Biomedical Science or are already HCPC registered as Biomedical Scientist.*
Main duties of the job
You will join the organisation as an apprentice trainee biomedical scientist. During the period of 4 years, you will complete a part-time IBMS (Institute of Biomedical Science) accredited BSc Hons Applied Biomedical Science degree whilst working in one of our pathology laboratories. Youll be supported through a comprehensive training programme to gradually build up your knowledge and skill set to achieve HCPC (Health and Care Professions Council) registration as a Biomedical scientist via completion of the IBMS Registration Portfolio.
