Job summary

Optegra has an exciting new job opportunity for an experienced Ward Nurse to join our amazing and supportive team in our prestige private Bowcliffe Hall Eye Clinic. This is a great opportunity to join a growing and developing business and benefit from our fantastic fully funded training programs.

Main duties of the job

The job holder will be responsible for participating in all aspects of the Ophthalmic service at Optegra, including surgery. Provide excellent care to all patients, with specific responsibility for diagnostic testing, pre-operative assessment, peri-operative and post-operative care in the surgical and refractive suite of the hospital, and assisting with minor operations.

      Experience

      Essential

      • Minimum of two years post qualification experience

      Desirable

      • Experience with day surgery / operating theatre / outpatient setting

      Qualifications

      Essential

      • RGN with NMC registration or ODP with HCP registration, with no restrictions

      Desirable

      • A qualification in Ophthalmology or Peri operative care and previous experience in Ophthalmology or Outpatients would be desirable but not essential
