Job summary

We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and committed Endoscopy Lead RGN to join our dynamic, growing team. This permanent position for someone with a nursing background and endoscopy experience, who wants to advance their career in a busy and supportive workplace.

Main duties of the job

This role is a full-time position working 38 hours per week over four days, supporting and deputising for the Clinical Matrons, whilst assisting other team leads in the leadership, co-ordination, and development of the pre-assessment and endoscopy services. Acting as a clinical resource, promoting excellence in clinical practice by supporting the clinical team in ensuring the highest standards of care is provided to patients. This will be achieved by using a philosophy of care underpinned by policy, procedures, protocols, clinical guidelines, audits, business strategies and priorities.

You will support the Clinical Matrons in formulation and implementation of policies, guidelines, and protocols, thus ensuring we are adhering to best practice guidelines. The Endoscopy Lead will support the rest of the nursing team by way of mentoring and leading by example.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

Essential:

Previous endoscopy experience.

Registered with a professional body, such as NMC.

Educated to degree level (or equivalent experience), with evidence of recent professional development.

Knowledge and experience of working within an endoscopy unit.

Excellent communication and influencing skills.

Basic IT skills and ability to work with online programmes such as Word, Excel, Microsoft Teams.

Good time/resource management skills.

Experience in co-ordinating a shift.

Experience in conflict resolution.

Desirable:

Previous managerial experience.

Depth of understanding regarding JAG.

Hold a mentorship qualification.

Experience of working with IT platforms such as SystmOne, Medilogik.

Salary Range:

Between £39,000 - £43,00 based on experience.
