iSIGHT Ltd is an Independent Sector Provider of NHS ophthalmic services. iSIGHT provides a comprehensive range of eye care form Orthoptic services, General Ophthalmology, Cataract surgery, Glaucoma and Wet AMD diagnostic and treatment services, Oculo-plastic surgery, Refractive corneal laser and lens implant surgery, Neuro-ophthalmology, and Community Ophthalmology services.

iSIGHT Ltd has a fully equipped daycase specialist ophthalmic hospital in Southport and also runs Community Ophthalmology Clinics at various locations in the North West. The successful candidate will provide care mainly for the NHS patients but will be expected to see other patients as required including emergencies.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

To deliver high quality clinical care to patients attending iSIGHT Clinic including new patients, pre & post-surgical, follow up patients, as well as perform Cataract Surgery, minor eye surgery and YAG laser capsulotomies. The ophthalmologist is expected to work as part of a cohesive team, to support and advise other team members, and to take responsibility for clinical and other relevant issues that may arise from time to time. The ophthalmologist will also assist in training of other clinical staff. The ophthalmologist will participate in seeing emergencies and also in the rota for out of hours calls.

An Ophthalmologist with a specialist interest in Glaucoma is an ideal candidate.
