Associated Wellbeing Ltd is an exciting and alternative provision supporting young people with complex social, emotional and mental health difficulties using bespoke packages and therapeutic approaches. The role includes engaging the hard to engage, instilling hope in young people who struggle to see what tomorrow looks like, always having a smile, having enhanced communication and listening skills. Main duties of the job
Youll be confident in assessing a variety of acute and complex mental health issues as well as collaboratively planning and implementing treatment. Youll be familiar with multi-agency working and have a clear understanding of the importance of family involvement. We are looking for a highly skilled communicator who can relate to children and involves them in all aspects of their care. Youll have worked in a least-restrictive environment. We support young people with a range of mental health issues including:
Psychosis
Self-harm and /or suicidal
Depression or anxiety
Emerging personality disorder
Eating disorder
Substance misuse (requires primary diagnosis of a mental health problem)
Emotional / social and behavioural difficulties
Borderline / mild learning disability as a secondary diagnosis
Autism Spectrum Disorders
About us
The Lighthouse Darwen, Lancashire
Four bedded mixed sex (age 8 18) therapeutic placement for young people with mental health difficulties. Young people will stay at The Lighthouse for approx. 12 weeks (this maybe longer dependant on clinical need) to engage in a therapeutic program to stabilise their mental health and learn new ways of coping.
You will work alongside a multi-disciplinary team in planning and delivering bespoke care and treatment plans. This is a new and exciting opportunity to be involved in a service that is the first of its kind and have an opportunity to input into the development of systems and services.

- Attending meetings to share feedback about young persons presentation
- Completing records and notes in accordance with policy
- Safeguarding young people
- Risk assessment and risk management
- Organising with the young person a weekly planner
- Providing stimulating activity
- Life skills development
- Physical health monitoring
- Empowering young people to be the best they can be
- Supervising support staff
- Verbal de-escalation
- Use of DBT language Training will be provided.
- Working with families and carers
- Adhere to data protection act and policies
- Attend and participate in handovers
- Monitoring young peoples health and well-being and reporting back to senior staff
- Uphold and adhere to all local and company policy and procedures
- Information governance
- Work with the wider/local community in a positive manner
