Job summary
Are you a Physiotherapist starting out on your career or newly qualified & seeking to work in an outpatients setting? Would you like to be able to treat patients and be able to offer 30 – 60 minute appointments?
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Physiotherapist to join our team at KIMS Hospital (equivalent band 5 NHS). KIMS Hospital is the largest independent hospital in Kent and is continuing to grow and expand, including our site at Sevenoaks Medical Centre. We strive to deliver the highest quality care in an exceptional clinical environment for the people of Kent.
The outpatient Physical Therapy department is comprised of a diverse multidisciplinary team including Physiotherapists, Hand therapists, Women’s Health Specialists, Sports Medicine Consultants, Osteopaths and a fully staffed administrative support team.
As a result of the fast and exciting growth of the hospital, the department serves more than 13,000 patients a year. It is the goal of KIMS Hospital to become an Orthopaedic Centre of Excellence, thus promoting an ever-expanding musculoskeletal service, further growth and progression opportunities for our staff.
The successful applicant will be responsible for delivering outstanding patient care to our patients across a range of Orthopaedic and Musculoskeletal conditions. Working closely with the departmental leads to ensure a robust service provision is provided, keeping us at the forefront of the profes
Main duties of the job
- To carry out assessments of patients as an autonomous practitioner, including those with complex presentations, using developed clinical reasoning gained through training and previous experience
- Formulate and deliver treatment and rehabilitation programmes based on clinical knowledge and evidence-based practice
- Lead by example in the promotion of high standards of clinical treatment and physiotherapy care, to ensure a quality service
- Assist in the support and development fellow members of the team and participate in the development and review of service and professional standards within the department
- Contribute to the implementation of hospital policies and procedures in line with the CSP, CQC and other governing bodies
- Engage with other medical professionals both internally and externally, maintaining professional clinical relationships
- Be flexible to working patterns across weekdays and weekends, as the department operates across 7 days Inpatient and Outpatients
