Job summary

KIMS Hospital, Maidstone are looking for an enthusiastic individual who enjoys being active in their work to join our talented and skilled Catering Department as a Kitchen Porter. 

As a Kitchen Porter you will assist in the supply and provision of an exceptional food service to our patients and staff, whilst maintaining a work life balance that suits you including not working later than 7.15pm each evening. You will be required to complete a variety of tasks to support the team including assisting the chef’s, cleaning of kitchen and dining areas and washing equipment and cutlery.

Main duties of the job

  • To clean and wash all kitchen and service items in an efficient manor with high attention to detail and in line with company and COSHH standards
  • Assist the chef’s in the preparation of food as requested adhering to food hygiene regulations
  • Keep the kitchen and restaurant areas clean and tidy at all times
  • Be completely customer focused, working together with the team to provide an efficient and effective service.

Kitchen Porter

Location: Maidstone

Working Hours & Shift – 15 hours, Saturday & Sunday working shifts between 6.30am to 7.15pm

Salary: £20,500 (FTE)
