Available Shifts: 07.30 - 20.00 or 08.30 - 21.00 Monday to Saturday

Job Summary:

KIMS Hospital is the largest independent hospital in Kent and we are recruiting.   We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic individual with a desire to provide healthcare at its very best, to join our Day Surgery team as a Staff Nurse.  This role is ideally suited to someone who has previously worked in a health care environment as a Care Support Worker, Health Care Assistant, Clinical Support Worker, Imaging Assistant or Nursing Assistant. 

As a Care Support Worker you will be a key member of our multi-disciplinary Day Surgery team, monitoring patients conditions pre and post surgery, escalating to the nursing staff where necessary.

This role is a bank role and is therefore a zero hours contract, covering absence and fluctuating hospital volumes.

Main duties of the job

Role Responsibilities include:

• Demonstrate good clinical practice at all times and be accountable for own actions
• Monitoring patients' conditions by taking temperatures, pulse, respirations, ecg's post surgery.
• Chaperone patients when required
• Willing to undertake phlebotomy when appropriately trained
• Respect and ensure patient privacy and confidentiality
