Job summary

KIMS Hospital, Maidstone are looking for a dynamic Care Support Worker to support our staff Nurses every step of the way to ensure we give the best possible care to our patients. You will need to be reliable as we depend on you to keep our service running; you truly are the foundation to delivering outstanding care.

This role is ideal for someone who has previously worked as a Health Care Assistant, Clinical Support Worker or Healthcare Support Worker

Role Responsibilities include:

  • Monitoring patients' conditions by taking temperatures, pulse, respirations and weight prior to clinic appointments.
  • Maintain accurate records of patient care.
  • Talking to patients to help them feel less anxious
  • Treating patients with respect and dignity and maintain patient privacy and confidentiality at all times
  • Treatment room duties such as ECG, Phlebotomy, Dressings and Assisting on Minor Ops
  • Chaperoning consultants working within various specialities
  • Working at local outreach clinics if necessary

  • An NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care
