Job summary

Clinical Governance Lead Midlands / Negotiable

Under the direction and support of the Director of Clinical Services, through strong visible clinical leadership and positive relations with clinical teams, the Clinical Governance Lead will support and promote robust clinical governance and leadership across SpaMedica for existing and new hospital sites across a defined region.

The post holder will need to be a car driver as the role covers a region and varied travel within the region to support governance needs, visible leadership and Regulatory site visits. The day-to-day location will depend on business needs but a mix of working from hospital sites and some home working.

The post holder will work closely with their peers in other regions and Clinical teams to support the delivery of safe effective care to meet and exceed regulatory standards. The post holder will review clinical governance data and clinical practice whilst supporting the application of the Governance framework for continual improvement.

The post holder will champion SpaMedicas purpose and strategic intent to ensure individuals receive exceptional high-quality care, delivered by a team of talented, competent and compassionate individuals who work together as strong teams.

Main duties of the job

Role and Responsibilities of our Clinical Governance Lead:

  • You will provide strategic support, guidance, and development of robust clinical governance framework, ensuring we can deliver and evidence the very best practice and quality standardised care across hospital sites.
  • You will be a strong team player and engage positively with Hospital Directors, Area, and Hospital Managers and clinical teams to support and develop good clinical practice and robust clinical governance through policy, processes, clinical audit, and review.
  • You will support the preparation and constant readiness for Health Care Regulatory inspection for existing hospitals aspiring to achieve and maintain good and outstanding ratings in addition to new hospital sites undergoing successful Regulatory registration.
  • Ideally a Registered Practitioner and/or experience in Health Care Quality and clinical leadership, who can demonstrate a sound knowledge in Healthcare regulatory standards and quality improvement through robust governance frameworks.
  • Car Driver essential to meet the requirements of the role.

  • Up to £56,000 per annum salary (depending on experience)
  • Bonus 1 June potential to earn up to 5% individual performance related bonus.
