Our Patient Liaison Administrators are the heart of our organisation, connecting our patients with the service they need and looking after their journey from referral to discharge. We're an independent provider of health services, based in Bristol and providing services across the South West. Our aim is to provide care closer to home in a timely way.

It's a really exciting time to join GP Care as our services grow and develop, so you could be part of shaping our future.

We are looking for someone to join on a part time basis, between 15 and 30 hours per week. You'll be based at our headquarters in Aztec West, alongside the other Patient Liaison Administrators, and will be working on a flexible rota between 8am and 6pm, Monday to Friday.

Main duties of the job

What will you be doing?

As a Patient Liaison Administrator, you will work as part of a team and be the first point of contact for patients who are accessing GP Care services.

You will receive enquires, make bookings, send information out to patients, and liaise with other care providers.

In addition, you will use the patient information systems to documents and record calls and undertake tasks such as downloading e referrals. Following the clinics, you will make onward referrals and ensure reports are sent back to the patients GP in a timely way.

The team is supported by two senior administrators and works alongside the service leads to ensure high quality patient care is delivered.

What skills and experience are required?

You will have basic qualifications in English and Maths as would be expected for any administration role. IT skills and the ability to learn new systems is essential.

You will have excellent communication skills, telephone manner and the ability to convey sensitive and complex information effectively. You will need to feel comfortable engaging with everyone from those who use our services right through to the management team.

We want you to bring fresh ideas and to tell us when you think we haven't quite got it right and what we can do better.

You will demonstrate our values in all that you do and recognise the importance of confidentiality having access to sensitive personal information.
