Job summary
Communicated in only a few minutes through an animated video, our new Service Strategy sets out our ambitious plans to support the NHS meeting rising demand and recover from the COVID-19 pandemic. Our aims are to extend and grow our range of diagnostic services in the coming years across the South West Region and beyond, providing more high quality services to more people and play a crucial role in addressing health inequalities. As a result of our new Strategy, we have created this new and exciting post that will play a vital role in the future success of GP Care. Working to the Chief Executive and with the Senior Leadership Team, the post holder will help identify and secure new business development opportunities, co-ordinate responds to tender and framework opportunities, develop and manage contracts and oversee the business planning process. We have developed some key partnerships and want a Business Development Manager who can nurture these further and develop other innovate partnerships.
You will also support internal and external communications, and develop our approach to marketing in relation to stakeholder management; service promotion and capturing market intelligence that provides valuable insights helping us meet our aspirations.
Main duties of the job
The person we are looking for, may well be frustrated by the quality of candidates on The Apprentice as they will have a more considered and values-driven approach to business development. Our focus is not on growth for ego, but an opportunity to genuinely make a significant impact in the communities we serve.
This role is a great opportunity to both demonstrate and further develop your leadership skills, at a very exciting time for GP Care, whilst being supported by a highly experienced and respected CEO and Senior Leadership Team. You may come from a healthcare or associated service background, have significant business development and business planning experience and an interest in delivering change for greater good.
