Job summary

Targeted Lung Health Check (TLHC) pilots are a new area for the NHS and InHealth making it an exciting time to be involved. InHealth currently support the NHS with software, bookings, a triage service, Nurse led TLHCs and mobile CT scanning. In this role you will help to ensure that the services we provide to our patients are of the highest possible standard. Delivering TLHC appointments to patients, calculating risk scores and generating onward referrals as required, you will very much be at the forefront of this exciting, important new programme.

Main duties of the job

What you will do

  • Deliver TLHC appointments to patients and generate onward referrals to low-dose CT for high-risk patients
  • Be a patient-facing ambassador for the TLHC programmes, providing high quality services and excellent patient-centred care
  • Provide nurse-led TLHC clinics, assessing patients against set risk criteria
  • Maintain IRMER accreditation (to refer to low-dose CT)
  • Ensure awareness of health and safety and infection control (training will be provided)
  • Ensure internal and external quality assurances for the TLHC programmes are complied with and reported on, as required

Job responsibilities

This is a great opportunity for someone with experience in Respiratory Nursing. The Clinics are open 7 days a week from 8am-8pm, our Nurses work 3 12 hours shifts per week on a rota basis. The role is a mobile role travelling across multiple sites within the Tees valley paying between £34,000 - £47,000!

  • Registered Nurses (NMC) who have some experience in Respiratory Nursing, with appropriate levels of training and experience and relevant accreditations

  • Confident decision makers, with the ability to work on their own initiative
  • People who are dedicated to excellent patient care
  • ARTP qualification (spirometry) and IRMER referrers certification are both desirable, but not essential
