Job summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced General Practitioner to lead our Special Allocations Scheme (SAS) a vital service providing care to patients removed from mainstream GP surgeries due to challenging behaviours.
This role offers a unique opportunity to deliver compassionate, holistic care to complex patients in a supportive, multidisciplinary environment. The position includes a mix of remote triage and face-to-face consultations, with flexibility to suit your working preferences.
Must be available Monday or Thursday for daytime hours
Main duties of the job
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver first-contact care for patients with complex physical and mental health needs
- Perform remote triage and in-person consultations
- Develop and manage patient-centred care plans
- Prescribe and refer appropriately in line with current best practices
- Maintain accurate clinical records and adhere to GDPR guidelines
- Coordinate with other healthcare professionals and attend MDT/Best Interest meetings
- Participate in audits and clinical governance activities
- Support practice administration and attend practice meetings
Essential Requirements
- MRCGP and on the NHS Performers List (with no restrictions)
- Experience working in primary care settings
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Commitment to ongoing professional development
- Enhanced DBS clearance
- Proficient in clinical systems such as Adastra, EMIS, SystmOne, EPS
- Must have the right to work in the UK
