Job summary

  • We require Registered (Adult) Nurses / RGNs, or Paramedics with 2 years' post qualification experience, who want to deliver gold standard care and be a proud part of a team who has this vision with a real passion for developing clinical, forensic and wider skills.

You must have the flexibly work not only in your base Custody suite but across an assigned region in the Police Custody Suites and Force area.

  • A base salary of £40,000 on a 4-shift on (2 days, 2 nights) then 4-shift off pattern, scheduled for 2 years ahead so you can plan your life. (Averages 42 hours per week).

    • On top of this, you get a £1,000 completion bonus when you successfully complete 12 months of service.

    Main duties of the job

    The custody suites can be an energetic place to work, with no two shifts the same. Whilst detained, we provide individuals with all their physical, mental healthcare and wellbeing needs, as well as gather any forensic samples needed by the police to aid their investigations. Making careful records on our computerised systems, you'll be assessing whether people are fit to be detained or released, administering medications when needed, and working with local Liaison and Diversion teams to address root cause issues that can actually prevent future crime.
