Job summary

  • Could you work in a niche and sometimes challenging environment? You'll be working alongside the Police in custody suites caring for detainees.

    • We require Registered (Adult) Nurses / RGNs, or Paramedics with 2 years' post qualification experience, who want to deliver gold standard care and be a proud part of a team who has this vision with a real passion for developing clinical, forensic and wider skills.

    You must have the flexibly work not only in your base Custody suite but across an assigned region in the Police Custody Suites and Force area.

    What can I expect to earn?

    • A base salary of £39,780.00 on a 4-shift on (2 days, 2 nights) then 4-shift off pattern, scheduled for 2 years (Averages 42 hours per week).

    • As well as £3000 (£1500 for PT) London travel allowance

    • On top of this, you get a £1,000 (£500 for PT) completion bonus when you successfully complete 12 months of service.

Main duties of the job

What does the role involve?

Custody suites can be an energetic place to work, with no two shifts the same. Whilst detained, we provide individuals with all their physical, mental healthcare and wellbeing needs, as well as gather any forensic samples needed by the police to aid their investigations. Making careful records you'll be assessing whether people are fit to be detained or released, administering medications when needed, and working with local Liaison and Diversion teams to address root cause issues that can actually prevent future crime.
