Spire Washington are recruiting for an experienced
healthcare assistant to join their friendly and supportive Pre-operative
assessment and Outpatient Team. There is a variety of shifts for this post
across 7 days and with excellent development opportunities available.
Spire Washington is
a 35 in-patient bedded hospital with 10 consultation and 2 treatment rooms
based just off junction 63 of the A1 with great commuter links. Our Hospital
offers a range of services and facilities including four operating theatres covering
specialities including Orthopaedics and Gynaecology and a full Diagnostic
suite.
Main duties of the job
To assist the multi-disciplinary team to provide exemplary
care in the Pre-Operative Assessment and Outpatient Department. This is a dual
role where you will work between the 2 teams.
The post holder will be responsible for supporting the
efficient and safe functioning of the Pre-operative assessment Mini Clinic
service ensuring safe and effective pre-operative care. You will also carry out
duties within the Outpatient team.
Correctly undertake
assessment tasks/activities that have been delegated in relation to the
specific individual as agreed with the care team. Carry out Phlebotomy,
Capillary blood testing, Electrocardiogram (ECG) recording
Baseline vital signs
observations, height and weight, BMI, and COVID testing.
