Job responsibilities
As Director of Clinical Services you will play a pivotal role in the ongoing development and further expansion of clinical services at Spire South Bank whilst overseeing a clinical team of Senior Department Lead's across the hospital.

Spire South Bank Hospital is a state-of-the-art private hospital. We have over 30 years' experience providing personalised healthcare with fast access to consultations in a wide range of specialities, supported by some of the most advanced technology including the latest imaging scanners and a laparoscopic (keyhole) theatre.
Duties and responsibilities
As Director of Clinical Services you will work predominantly Monday - Friday around the core hours of 9-5, however will be flexible to meet the needs of the department, as well as taking part as the Senior Management on call system.
- You will ensure that clinical governance, patient safety and satisfaction are at top of agenda on a daily basis
- Work closely with the Governance Manager and your Heads of Department to ensure that we are fully compliant with CQC regulations at all times
- Ensuring good infection prevention control across the hospital
- You will lead your teams on quality Improvement strategies
- Lead and implement the hospital's clinical strategy and provide support and input to the hospital's overall business strategy
- Promote a cost effective, patient focused quality service for the continuing success of Spire Healthcare
- Provide clear focus on business results, maintaining the balance between quality healthcare delivery and sound financial performance
- Support the commercial development of clinical services including actively creating new business and innovative opportunities
Who we're looking for
- Registered Nurse or equivalent healthcare professional with a valid NMC or HPC registration, without any restrictions
- Previous experience in managing a senior team of clinical professionals
- Strong clinical knowledge of a hospital, ideally with surgical ward experience
- You will utilise your leadership skills to demonstrate good clinical practice
- You must be willing and clinically able to partake in clinical duties as and when required
- Strong understanding of clinical governance is essential
- Innovative and dynamic thinker with an enthusiastic approach
- Completed mentorship or teaching qualification
- Completed management qualification would be an advantage, but not essential
