Bank Pharmacy Technician | Pharmacy Department | Private Hospital | Bank - Flexible work hours per week, Permanent | Solihull | Spire Parkway Hospital have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Pharmacy Technician to join our Pharmacy department on a flexible working contract, with flexibility to work during the week. As a key member of the team, you will support the department in the provision of pharmacy services including ordering, stock control and preparation of drugs and medicines. Spire Parkway Hospital in Solihull, West Midlands offers a comprehensive range of private hospital services. Our hospital is rated Good by the CQC for all parts of the inspection except for Patient Care, which is rated Outstanding. The report states, "Staff treated patients with compassion and kindness, respected their privacy and dignity, took account of their individual needs, and helped them understand their conditions. They provided emotional support to patients, families and carers." Our dedicated hospital team are passionate about excellent patient care and we offer a range of specialist treatments to patients across Birmingham, Warwickshire and the West Midlands. This includes diagnostic services, rehabilitation, cutting-edge surgical procedures and excellence in specialist fields like orthopaedics, women's health and cancer care. We have 51 bedrooms and five operating theatres. Duties and responsibilities: To provide an exemplary specialist technical service to support the pharmacy department and other areas of the hospital that stock medicines, working within own level of competence and in accordance with current legislation, accepted professional and ethical standards and Spire Healthcare policies and procedures. - Monitor stock levels within the Pharmacy department to maintain appropriate stock levels - Assist with the procurement of pharmaceutical stock for the pharmacy and other departments using appropriate electronic systems - Participate in pharmacy and departmental stock takes - Provide general administrative support to the department - Contribute to the safe and effective use of medicines, ensuring cost efficiency.
