Radiology Deputy Manager | Imaging | Full Time 37.5 | Permanent | Norwich - NR4
Spire Norwich Hospital are seeking an experienced senior radiographer as a Radiology Deputy Manager, to help lead the team in the Imaging Department. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with previous leadership or supervisory experience, coupled with a good grounding and understanding of radiology, to take the next step in their career.
The role will have an element of diagnostic clinical duties, and participation in the on-call rota will be required.
Duties and responsibilities
- Work closely with the Head of Department
- Be responsible for championing and inspiring the radiology team
- Help to plan, allocate, assess and provide feedback to team members
- Help to support and maintain the effective use of physical and financial resources
- Implement and monitor working processes and policies
- Help with the management of the radiology team to ensure accurate staffing in order to meet patient need and demand
- Develop a working environment and culture that actively improves health, safety and security
- Strong understanding of IRR and IRMER regulations implementation within the hospital
- Manage effective relationships with the Consultant Radiologists
- Take responsibility for clinical governance and audit in the department
- Undertake clinical duties as required and take part in the departmental on-call rota
- Deputise in radiology managers absence
Who we're looking for
- BSc Diagnostic Radiography or equivalent
- Significant post qualification experience as a Senior Radiographer / Team Leader
- Experience of leading teams, supervision and mentoring
- The ability to think analytically and problem solve
- Experience in RIS/PACS and IEP system management
- Evidence of ongoing and relevant CPD
- Have strong knowledge of IRR and IRMER legislation
- Sound written and verbal communication skills and excellent organisation skills
- Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently as required
- Passion to deliver high quality diagnostic images and services
