Job summary

To provide physiotherapy intervention to patients referred into the department, prioritise physiotherapy referrals in order to implement effective and timely caseload management and determine clinical diagnosis and provide physiotherapy treatment, developing appropriate packages of care, giving specialist clinical / professional advice to patients.

Main duties of the job

To provide physiotherapy intervention to patients referred into the department, prioritise physiotherapy referrals in order to implement effective and timely caseload management and determine clinical diagnosis and provide physiotherapy treatment, developing appropriate packages of care, giving specialist clinical / professional advice to patients, carers and other Health Care Professionals. In addition, provide support and teaching / training to junior staff and students within locality as appropriate Ensure ongoing monitoring of the standard of treatment provided Undertake comprehensive assessment and diagnosis of patients with a wide variety of physical and emotional needs. To formulate, deliver, review and progress individual treatment programmes, ensuring effective treatment, specialist advice and timely discharge is achieved Engage with Consultants and other referrers to maximise the number of referrals and grow your practice Ensure compliance with all professional, clinical and integrated governance standards and participate in clinical audit and other quality assurance processes Provide and receive patient information, ensuring that all patient information is provided, received and recorded in accordance with the Data Protection Act and Spire Policie

  • Able to a nalyse physiotherapy management problems and identify viable solutions
  • Competent across a range of physiotherapy, management and leadership skills supported by skilled professional knowledge.
