Spire Dunedin Hospital in Reading are now recruiting a Registered Nurse to join their supportive, warm and friendly outpatients team!

Main duties of the job

Duties and responsibilitiesIn this fast-paced role, you will be working alongside our clinical team providing exemplary care within the Outpatients department.Here in Dunedin outpatients, we cover a variety of specialities including ophthalmology, dermatology, general, urology, orthopaedics and cardiology. You will be part of a working environment and culture that actively promotes health, safety and security and infection control.

Job responsibilities

Duties include:

  • Clinic preparation
  • Chaperoning
  • Venepuncture
  • Woundcare
  • Assisting with minor operations
  • Maintaining high standards of infection control
  • Stock management

Who we're looking for:

  • Registered Nurse with no restrictions to practice
  • Motivated attitude
  • Problem solving skills
  • Strong desire for attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritise and manage a busy environment
  • Desire to promote excellent patient experience
  • Experience in ophthalmology is strongly desirable
  • Competence in venepuncture is desirable
  • Procedural and/or post op experience
  • Excellent communication and task management skills
  • System literacy is essential; MS Office and SAP is desirable, however, not essential for the right candidate
  • A sound knowledge base with ideally 2 years experience
