Spire Harpenden Hospital have an exciting opportunity for a Deputy Director of Clinical Services to join our experienced and dynamic team, working within a fantastic patient centered focused environment.

Spire Harpenden Hospital offers comprehensive private hospital services in a comfortable and relaxed environment to patients from London and its northern counties - Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire, and Buckinghamshire. We have five state of the art Theatres and modern Surgical and Day Care Wards covering all major surgery, orthopaedics, gynaecology, plastics, and medical patients amongst others.

Main duties of the job

Duties and responsibilities:

  • To provide exemplary planned care for patients while managing more than one clinical team.
  • To ensure the teams deliver effective patient care by providing excellent clinical and managerial leadership
  • To develop clinical practice within the hospital, examining latest trends and introducing and embedding innovation and excellence in clinical practice throughout the clinical teams

Job responsibilities

Who we're looking for:

  • Proven record of successfully managing complex Clinical teams
  • Positive working relationship with regulators.
  • Managing adverse events/incidents.
  • Meeting financial and key performance indicators
  • Registered Healthcare Professional NMC or HCPC Registered
  • Evidence of substantial post registration, continued professional development in clinically related and relevant subjects
  • Competence across a range of clinical, management and leadership skills supported by professional and clinical knowledge acquired through state registration and further education and development
  • Appropriate clinical education to degree or masters level essential
  • Senior clinical management experience desirable.
