Coldfield | £33,000 depending on experience, plus on call payments and
enhancements | Full Time Monday Friday plus on call | Permanent.
Spire Little AstonHospital
are looking for an experience maintenance engineer to join their team. This
would suit someone with a background in engineering, electrical, maintenance or
building service management. We offer training where necessary in specific
hospital systems.
The position is 37.5 hours per week
working Monday Friday between 8am and 5pm plus regular on call requirements.
Main duties of the job
You will deputise in the absence of the Engineering Manager, attending meetings and managing the team as well as being confident in your ability to handle situations as they arise. You will be responsible for the health and safety of the various systems throughout the hospital such as
To maintain building services, building fabric and all equipment in a cost effective manner, ensuring compliance with all current national legislation and Spire policies. To maintain a safe environment for all staff, patients and visitors.
- Working as part of the Engineering team you will be responsible for providing planned and preventative maintenance, as well as reactive maintenance for all equipment, grounds and fabric within the hospital.
- You will analyse faulty equipment through to onsite repairs and liaising closely with specialist contractors.

Skills/qualifications we're looking for:
You will need to hold an apprenticeship or bachelors qualification in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
Previous experience working as an engineer in a healthcare setting would be an advantage, although full training will be provided.
Extensive knowledge of building services and maintenance of various systems
2 years experience in building services management
Hold relevant certificates or be willing to undertake specialist training in specific areas.
