Due to retirement, Spire Manchester are now recruiting a Lead Critical Care Nurse to join our small but warn and friendly team.

This is an exciting time to join a team as it expands its Cardiology services Spire Manchester Hospital is a £65m state-of-the-art healthcare facility offering you the opportunity to work across a wide variety of specialisms. You will be able to develop your clinical skills in a modern and progressive environment. The Manchester team currently consists of over 800 colleagues and we are rapidly expanding as we increase the scope of services we provide across our experienced and dynamic teams.

Duties and responsibilities

• Leading a small team in a 5 bedded unit
• Caring for Level 2/3 patients
• Assess patients' health and wellbeing across a complex and changing caseload
• Assist in the delivery of care to meet individuals' health and wellbeing needs

• Provide and receive complex, sensitive or information
• Receiving patients from theatre
• Assisting with Audits and CQC inspections
• Assisting the Multi-Disciplinary Team in planning care
• Ability to communicate effectively across other departments
• Demonstrate an understanding of Critical care outreach

Who we're looking for

• NMC registered
• 4-5 years experience of leading a team
• ICU experience
• CU certificate Essential
• Cardiothoracic experience desirable
• Cardiac experience desirable
• Good communication skills
