Theatre Healthcare Assistant HCA | Theatres | Flexible rota | Spire Regency | Full Time, Permanent | Band 2 equivalent Spire Regency Hospital are looking to recruit a Healthcare Assistant to join our fantastic Theatre team. The role is full time for 37.5 hrs per week with a mixture of shifts covering hours in between 8am and 8pm. This role will also involve some Saturdays.
The Spire Regency Hospital in Macclesfield, South Cheshire opened in 1991 and is currently undergoing extensive site wide modernisation and upgrading state of the art equipment. We practice some of the most advanced treatments on the latest generation imaging and diagnostic technology. This means we can offer everything from screening and rehabilitation through to leading-edge surgical procedures across a range of specialist fields like orthopaedics, cosmetics and general surgery -all delivered through our expert and caring clinical teams.We pride ourselves on patient care with clinical excellence at the heart of what we do.

Main duties of the job
Responsible for providing a range of support services to the Nurses and Consultants during procedures including:
- Assisting scrub nurses during procedures
- Provide patient support within the anaesthetic room
- Opening sterile packs
- Checking instruments
- Assisting with cleaning down the theatre between cases and getting ready for the next patient
- Setting up ready for the list the following day
- Assisting with ordering equipment
- Maintenance of quality care delivery
- Understanding and contributing towards infection control
