Job summary
Chiltern House Medical Centre in High Wycombe is seeking an experienced Medical Coder / Clinical Systems Coder to join their friendly and supportive team. This is a part-time role with flexible shifts, offering a Band 3 salary (or higher depending on experience).
The ideal candidate will have strong experience working within a GP practice and must be EMIS-trained, as this is the primary clinical system used at the surgery. You will play an important role in coding clinical information accurately, maintaining high-quality patient records, supporting QOF and reporting processes, and assisting with workflow optimisation across the practice.

Main duties of the job

Accurately code clinical information, letters, and patient data using Read Codes/SNOMED.

Review and process hospital correspondence, test results, and medical summaries.

Support QOF, enhanced services, and reporting requirements by ensuring correct data entry.

Maintain and update high-quality patient records within EMIS.

Assist with creating clinical templates and improving workflow processes.
