Opcare have been providing the orthotic
services in Manchester since 2014. This role is an excellent opportunity to have a key
influence within the service.
The service includes a purpose-built
facility in Sharston, South Manchester. The facility consists of a consultant
led MDT team, prosthetics and wheelchair services. There is a complex mix of patients
and extended practice clinics which provides a great opportunity to be exposed
to interesting and varied caseloads.
There is an on-site workshop with
skilled staff providing a collaborative working approach to device design and
manufacture.
Main duties of the job
We are currently seeking an experienced Orthotist who is looking for an
opportunity to develop their career and be a part of our large and dynamic team
in the North West.
The role will involve working with a complex clinical case load, it will
present exciting opportunities to develop clinical skillsets. The role will be
instrumental in working with the orthotic team, consisting of clinicians, and
wider NHS MDT to advance and improve the delivery of the service.
There are a wide variety of patients and extended practice clinics
including, but not limited to:
In and out-patient clinics for neurological
conditions
Paediatrics
Scoliosis bracing
Diabetic foot
Foot and ankle
Theatre casts and removal
