We are currently seeking an experienced Prosthetist Clinical Lead who is
looking for an opportunity to develop their career and be a part of our large
and dynamic team in Cambridge.
The role will involve working with a complex clinical case load and
therefore clinical expertise in at least one area of prosthetics is essential,
but there will also be opportunities to develop into different specialities.
The role holder will be instrumental in managing the prosthetic
clinical team and providing support and insight to the technical team
and wider NHS MDT to advance and improve the delivery of the service.
The role holder will be an integral member of the senior clinical team within
Opcare and will provide mentoring support to less experienced prosthetists,
graduates, and students.

Key Responsibilities
Some of the key responsibilities the role holder will have
responsibility for
Line management of the Prosthetics clinical team
Reporting responsibilities with regards to delivery
of the service in line with NHS and internal key performance indicators
Ensure the delivery of high-quality care for all
patients and the smooth running of the service
Work closely with multi-disciplinary teams MDTs across Cambridgeshire and the wider Trust including Surgeons and Consultants.
Share your
knowledge and experience with junior colleagues and offer mentorship to
graduates and students.
Help
coordinate and contribute to in service training sessions.
The role holder will be a registered Prosthetist that can support
development and service improvements for the betterment of patients in the
county of Cambridgeshire.
The successful candidate will join an
enthusiastic and busy team, and be supported with local, regional, and national
training to develop their clinical and managerial skills to support the
service. We aim to deliver a first class service for users whilst applying the
most advanced and exciting clinical and technical solutions available to
patients.

mix of Adult and Paediatric MDTs and extended practice clinics which provide a
great opportunity to be exposed to interesting and varied caseloads.
Onsite at Cambridge, we work closely
with the gait lab team, specialist physiotherapists and orthopaedic surgeons
for surgical and medical planning pathways for paediatric and adult amputees.
Alongside the specialist clinics, the
role leads and supports the day to day delivery of prosthetic services within
the county. There is opportunity to work across company networks and groups
including 3D manufacturing, scanning and clinical governance projects.
